5 Tips for Planning the Perfect Ladies’ Day at the Beach

8 0

Spending the day at the beach with your girlfriends can be one of the most enjoyable things you can do all year. The coastline is the perfect spot to relax and de-stress with your dearest buddies. It is also the best place to do various activities that you and friends love and things that will make you closer to one another.

Choosing to spend the day at a top private beach in Abu Dhabi is an essential step in planning the perfect ladies’ day out. You and your girlfriends won’t run out of fun things to do at a resort with its own beach, swimming pool, custom above ground swimming pool like Bestway restaurants, and other facilities.

Additionally, you will find everything you need at the private beach club. More importantly, you and your friends will feel safe since the resort will have a security team and system in place.

Preparing for Your Girls’ Day Out

To be sure you and your girlfriends will have the perfect day at the beach, follow these planning and prep tips:

1.    Choose the right day

With everyone busy at work during weekdays, you and your buddies may think the weekend is the best, most convenient day for the quick getaway. However, there are advantages to going to the beach on a weekday.

Many restaurants, bars, and beach clubs in Abu Dhabi offer a ladies’ day deal. During these days, women can enjoy various discounts, lower rates, freebies, and perks. Most establishments, however, hold this event during weekdays.

If you and your friends are serious about having the perfect quick beach getaway, plan on doing it on a weekday and going to a resort that has a ladies’ day.

By taking a day off from work, everyone will spend less on this short holiday. You and your girlfriends will enjoy more freebies and perks as well. Examples of these perks include a lower cabana rental fee and unlimited beverages.

2.    Arrange transportation

Ensure everyone gets to the beach club by organizing transportation beforehand.

Decide with your friends who will bring a car. If you and your buddies are many and won’t fit in just one, talk about how many vehicles to bring and who will ride in which one.

If you and your girlfriends opt for private transportation, make sure the drivers know the route to the resort beforehand. Plan for any stopovers (the gas station, a minimart for snacks, a tourist spot near the beach club, etc.) in advance as well; make sure you spend only a few minutes on these stops.

By doing so, you can ensure everyone will spend more time at the beach instead of on the side trips.

In case no one is particularly excited about being the designated driver, find out if the beach club offers transport services. With this option, no one has to worry about getting to the resort and going back home.

Whatever you decide on transportation, set a time and place where everyone will meet or be picked up before the journey.

3.    Plan some activities

Although you and your friends will want nothing else to do than bask in the sun, drink a cold beverage, and engage in endless gabfests, make the most out of your day at the beach club by doing some fun activities.

Check beforehand what kind of water sports you and your buddies can try at the resort. Most private beach clubs have a variety of equipment and gear for kayaking, paddleboarding, wind and wave surfing, and snorkeling which guests can rent.

Talk to your friends to decide which activities you want to try. Although it may be impossible to do all of them in one day, do at least one or two.

If relaxing and self-pampering are on top of everyone’s to-do list, make sure you and your friends spend an hour or two at the beach club spa. Check the spa day offers and arrange with a staff the time and services you and your buddies want to get in advance to ensure you will be accommodated.

4.    Prepare your outfits

Now that you have ironed out the itinerary, you can start making your own preparations for your ladies’ day out.

Choose your outfits for your day at the beach. Since you will be going to a private resort, you can wear a sundress, shorts, or any attire that shows off a bit of skin.

You can also wear a swimsuit while you are at the pool and beach. But bring a cover-up or kaftan since you have to put it on whenever you have to go to the lobby and other areas where there are other people. You can also don it if you want to feel comfortable while dining at the in-house restaurant.

Don’t forget to pack an extra outfit and your flip-flops. You can also bring your aqua shoes if you want to be comfortable when trying out the different water sports and activities.

5.    Pack your bag with all your beach day must-haves

Choose an easy-to-carry bag where you can pack your beach day essentials. These should include:

  • Sunscreen
  • Lip balm with SPF
  • A pack of wet wipes and tissue
  • Makeup kit
  • Sunglasses
  • Beach hat
  • Phone and camera chargers

Make sure you bring cash and your credit or debit card as well.

Lastly, don’t forget to bring your smartphone, camera, iPod, and other devices you need whenever you travel. You will be taking lots of photos during your ladies’ day out, so make sure you pack your photo-taking gadgets and accessories.

Picking the right venue and date, creating an itinerary, and making the essential preparations are vital for having the perfect ladies’ day out. But once you and your girlfriends are at the beach club, keep an open mind and feel free to explore and try new things.

If you and your friends have never tried paddleboarding, do so. Opt for a kind of massage you have never experienced before. Be open to tasting new dishes and beverages at the restaurant as well.

By trying new things together, you get to bond more and be closer to your friends. You will also be sure your day at the beach, no matter how short it is, will be truly enjoyable and memorable.
