Detoxifying With Mask Of Mud

Every beauty routine has different effects and different ingredients to it. But the most applied is the Mud Mask. It gives the skin much needed nutrition and removes the dead skin cells, while refreshing the face. Different face masks of mud have different ingredients meant for different skin types. It is essential to identify the skin type and select the mask of mud for the same. One cannot use a mask meant for oily skin on a dry skin.

Different Ingredients

Every face mask of mud is made from variety of ingredients but most of them have the mud from Dead Sea, which is rich in minerals. The below mentioned ones are the minerals present in almost every mask. Though, some are absent and some are present in few masks, with variety of proportion.

  • Calcium
    This mineral relieves and softens skin cells, while strengthening the membranes of cell. It also liberates and clean pores from oil and dirt
  • Iodine
    It is a vital mineral for cell metabolism that improves the skin appearance.
  • Magnesium
    It aids the body in soaking other nutrients, while accelerating cell metabolism and cell regeneration quickly
  • Bromide
    It has anti-inflammatory attributes.
  • Chloride
    It aids in cell metabolism to accelerate the recovery from wear & tear
  • Zinc
    It works with cell regeneration and cell growth, while its antioxidant properties prevents acne and renews the skin
  • Sodium Chloride

It hydrates and nourishes the skin rapidly.

  • Deionized Water or Aqua

Distilled water used in the face mask keeps the moisture level well in the mixture and helps in its application. While there are no impurities, which renders an experience of pristine cleansing.

  • Sulfur
    It removes the skin disorders such as Eczema and Psoriasis, while making the skin healthier at the same time
  • Potassium
    It assists the cells to expel waste rapidly while absorbing nourishments which keeps the skin hydrates and avoid the flaring of Psoriasis
  • Aloe Vera

It was considered as plant that could make a human immortal; in ancient Egypt. It has strong regenerating, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It is a compound that is gibberellin in nature which stimulates new cell growth. It moisturises the skin rapidly, while nourishing it and cleansing it simultaneously. The negative effectives on skin caused by pollution and sun is greatly taken care by aloe vera.

There are some other essential oils such as Simmondsia Cinesis (Jojoba Oil), Sweet Almond Oil, Eucalyptus Oil along with other oils which are used less often. Mint is one herb that is used regularly in face masks of mud for its rejuvenating properties.
