●       Should Pass the COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) conducted by Indian Maritime University

B.Tech/ Marine Engineering- Lateral Entry 3 Years ●       At least 55% marks overall in 3 year diploma in Marine / Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or 4 years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE or any State Board of Technical Education.

●       Minimum 50% marks in English in either 10th or 12th or Diploma Examination

Graduate Marine Engineering 1 Year 8 Candidates holding 50% in all mechanical engineering streams or naval architectural streams are eligible to apply
Electro Technical Officer Course 4 Months 10 ●       Should be 12th pass with PCM

●       Minimum 50% marks in English in either Class X or Class XII or Diploma or Degree.

Orientation course for catering personnel 12 Days 11 ●       10th or 12th pass with at least 40% aggregate marks

●       At least 40% in English in 10th or 12th

●       Should have earned certificate/ diploma/ degree in hospitality related fields.

Basic Safety Training 12 Days
Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD) 2 Days
Basic Training For Cargo Operations and Oil & Chemical Tanker 6 Days ●       As per STCW code book, all 4 Basic Safety courses are mandatory 1. Fire prevention and fire fighting (FPFF) 2. Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) 3. Personal Survival Techniques (PST) 4. Elementary First Aid (EFA)

●       There are physical and medical eligibility criteria to be fulfilled to be eligible for the course.

 

Admissions at RLINS

Interested candidates have to apply online through the online portal and submit the requested details. Eligible students need to apply for a Common Entrance Test conducted by Indian Maritime University, Chennai.

Based on the application and the eligibility process, the aspirant is called for further screening at the campus. Relevant documents have to be produced at the time of admission. The admission process also requires the candidate to undergo some physical tests to check the ability and strength of the candidate. Eyesight and physical strength are some parameters on which admission is based.
